Our commitment
EpicMod Building Systems Inc. is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time project.
What we have done
- Page structure uses proper headings and landmarks, with a “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
- Every interactive control (menus, accordions, filters, roof-style selectors, and the hero video) can be operated with a keyboard, and keyboard focus is clearly visible.
- Text and interface colours meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for text and 3:1 for controls.
- All meaningful images have descriptive alternative text; purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms have programmatically linked labels, grouped checkboxes, and inline error messages that are announced to assistive technology.
- The homepage background video can be paused, and animation is disabled automatically for visitors whose device is set to reduce motion.
- Text can be resized to 200% and pages reflow on small screens without loss of content.
- The site does not use third-party tracking scripts, pop-ups, or timed content that could interfere with assistive technology.
Known limitations
We are continuing to improve the following areas:
- Some model photographs and renderings convey visual design details (finishes, roof profiles) that cannot be fully described in alternative text. Please contact us if you would like a verbal walkthrough or the detailed feature list in an alternative format.
- Third-party websites we link to, and any documents supplied by partners, may not meet the same standard.

If you need information from this site in another format, such as large print, plain-text email, or by telephone, or if you experience any difficulty using the site, please tell us. We will work with you to provide the information in a format that meets your needs, at no charge, and normally within five business days.
